Our Cardiac Care program provides monitoring and care for residents diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF). Our staff receives ongoing education on the signs and symptoms of CHF. This allows our team to identify residents with a history and diagnosis of congestive heart failure and focus on:
– Monitoring fluid intake
– Ensuring dietary restrictions are met during each meal
– Enabling residents with CHF to continue rehabilitation
– Monitoring weight gain to ensure early identification and treatment of CHF symptoms
– Monitoring oxygen levels at rest and during rehabilitation
– Ensuring residents are evaluated by a cardiologist to evaluate signs/symptoms of heart failure
